Feature release 1.5.0

1.5.0 was released yesterday. Though this release doesn’t have as many obvious new features, it does have many behind-the-scenes improvements. Some of these may actually be more obvious than you might expect. For example, if you are using a caching plugin, you may see a significant performance increase for all things related to the points logs, since these are now cached.

Among the more obvious improvements was adding a post type setting to the Comment and Comment Removed points hooks. This will allow you to choose which post types will be awarded points, the same way you can configure this for the Post points hook. Another change on the points hooks admin panel, is that it is now responsive to wider screens, displaying the points types in two columns instead of just one.

WordPoints has now received over 1,200 downloads, and 6 5-star reviews on wordpress.org. Wow.

Do you have a feature you’d like to see added in the next release? Leave a comment below, I’d love to hear your ideas!
