Installing Modules

The process of installing a WordPoints module is very similar to that of installing a WordPress plugin. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1: Downloading #

The first step is downloading your module. For a free module, all you have to do is click on the “Download” button on the module’s home page.

free downloadTo download a module that you have purchased, you first need to navigate to the “Account” page.

my accountOnce there, you will see your purchase history at the top of the page.

purchase historyFind the order for the module you want to download, and click the “View Details and Downloads” link. This will take you to the page for that order.

purchase confirmationOn the order details page, scroll down to the bottom, where you will see a table of products from that order, under the “Products” heading. Click the link for the product you want to download. That’s it!

Step 2: Installing #

The next step is to upload the module to your site. To do this, log in and navigate to the WordPoints ยป Modules administration screen.

On multisite, you can only access this screen from the network admin panel.

Once there, click the Add New link.


This will take you to the Module Install screen:


Select the zip file you downloaded, then click the Install Now button. Next you’ll see a screen like this:


Step 3: Activating #

Once your module has been installed successfully, you can activate it by clicking the Activate Module link on the Installing screen as shown above, or you can return to the Modules page and activate it there:


Step 4: Enjoy! #

You are now ready to enjoy all of the features of your newly installed module. Some modules may come with configuration options, and now would be a good time to check the module’s settings to see if it is configured to your liking.
