The Comment Received points hook was added in version 1.8.0, and awards points to the author of a post when another user leaves a comment on that post.

Configuration #

The Comment Received points hook lets you choose a post type in addition to the number of points to award. To award points for comments on any points type, select “Any”. To award points only for comments on a specific post type, like Pages, select it in the list. If you would like to award points for comments on multiple types of posts, use multiple instances of this points hook.

The points for a comment will be awarded when the comment is first approved. The points will automatically be removed again if the comment is marked as spam or otherwise removed. If the comment is approved again, the points will be added back again as well.
