I am pleased to announce the availability of an initial beta version of the long-awaited BuddyPress module. This is one of the most requested integrations so far, but it had taken me a while to finally be able to work on it. But without further ado, here is the link that you can use to download the beta:
If you haven’t installed a module before, you can read the instructions on installing a module.
Please note that the module requires BuddyPress 2.7+, and WordPoints 2.2+. WordPoints 2.2 is currently in beta, and will be released in a week or so. Until then, if you want to test the module, you will need to install the beta version of the WordPoints (you can use the beta tester module for this).
So what is in this initial beta?
- Information about a user’s points is displayed on the user’s profile:
- There is an Event that can be used to award points when a user sends a private message.
- There’s another event for when a user requests a friendship, and when a friendship is accepted.
More events will be added shortly, and another beta version will be released sometime after WordPoints 2.2.0 is released. What features would you like to see? Let us know in the comments!
